J. V. Proesel


Vice President Operations


J.V. Proesel has served as Vice President Operations since 2014, leading the Client Services Team and Client Development Teams at Moebs Services.
Drawing on his experience in prior roles as lead research analyst and project management, J.V. has a strong analytical approach to modeling profitable solutions and capitalizing on unrealized client and prospect needs. 

J.V. is also responsible for the development of new services aimed at increasing profitability for financial institutions.  He played a key role in the creation of the firm’s patented Debit Scoring® utility, a software program that assists banks and credit unions with establishing risk management parameters, as well as Moebs L.O.A.N. pricing application.  A collaborator in the development and design of the Moebs Economy of Scale Analysis, he also edited and produced Expense Control: Book of Numbers Eds. 12,13,14, Moebs $ervices, Inc.


Co-Producer, Pricing Institute & Webinars

J.V. is a frequent public speaker and featured presenter on live webinars on topics such as: pricing, risk, banking forecasts, optimizing profitability, cross-selling, and economies of scale. J.V. works closely with Mike Moebs to conduct the bi-annual Moebs Pricing Institute in Chicago, as well as its on-site and online versions.  “I look forward to these opportunities to share information with colleagues in the industry, and help them arrive at new strategies for the benefit of their institutions,” says J.V. 

J.V. joined the firm in 2005, armed with a degree in Economics from Loyola University in Maryland. Previously, he was an analyst for a proprietary trading firm and a Designated Primary Market Maker (DPM) at the Chicago Board Options Exchange.
